"Radio Badge Class" Visit

Hamilton Co. Scouts from troops #103,386 & 186 visited the WW2IND station.!
All were participants in Badge Counselor John Brooks-N9KYC, Radio Merit badge class.
This visit allowed them to make live on the AIR ham radio contacts. Class was accompanied by 4 of the parents.

Indiana War Memorial museum:

USS Indy Radio Central exhibit....

Completeing the Radio badge course visiting scouts made approx. 30 QSO's with
(Local off site Hams)Rudy-KN9C, Bob-W9PSE on 2,10 & 6, 40 & 80 Meter hams freq.'s.
Each Scout received a WW2IND participation Certificate with their contact information .!

Assisting the BSA class in the IWM, USS INDY Radio exhibit,
N9KZJ-Dave, KC9TRV-Ted ;Ed-N9IZN, W9SSE-Steve & W9IH-Chuck .

This was the 4th time that the Hamilton Co. Merit Badge class has visited the
WW2IND radio exhibit; future visits are Planned.!!


6m +40+80 m ops position was a different challenge

10m OPS was best Station was on WW2IND vertical antenna

[2m operators] base station 2m got a work out on local repeaters.coord all OTA OPs
