USS Indianapolis Survivor served over 20 years in US Navy, spanning WWII, Korea and Vietnam wars.  He served as a radioman , taught Basic Electricity & Electronics at Bainbridge in the late 1950 early 1960's, and Crypto School at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA, from 1966-69. He served on many ships during his career, and actually delivered the message announcing President Kennedy's death to the Captain of the USS Taluga AO-62 in 1963.
